We are loving remixes by Rex the Dog.
Rex the Dog remixes are usually really cool.
The first one they did is the wicked take on The Knife's 'Heartbeats'.
The remix basically lifts the track to a new level spelled h.e.a.v.e.n.
Since then I'm hooked and so far I'm not disappointed.
Mind you, I'm hard to please.
Mylo's 'Drop the Pressure' gets a rework that's actually cooler than the original. How about that.
We are currently lovin' the Rex The Dog SK-1 Remix of Marble House by the Dreijer siblings the most.
We are a bit worried though that a Rex the Dog remix of Swedish punks
The Sounds will surface soon. But hopefully this will not be a faux pas but instead lift the punks to a whole new (better) level. Maybe not heaven, but at least to some club in Soho so people can drink beer and get drunk and dance to it. Or that the DJ plays 'Girls' (Rex the Dog Remix) by The Prodigy straight after.

Most of his remixes are in fact far greater than the originals, especially 'Drop the Pressure', as mentioned above, but also both his versions of 'Photographic' by early Depeche Mode. While these remixes carry many features of the original tracks there are also these complete makeovers, like his remix of Client's 'Radio'. The only resemblance is a short sample of the chorus in the original vocals, other than that it's a completely different song, a better one. When I do that it's usually because I think the original sucks, I wonder if that is something we have in common.
Since he seems to like The Sounds it will probably not be another 'Radio' but judging by what we've heard so far I'm convinced he will pull it off.
