We could be heroines

forblog.jpg

Listening to Swedish electro arty farty Zeigeist is like taking all your electronic and arty records put them in a blender and press the ON button.
Some Kate Bush, Visage, The Knife, Depeche Mode and you name it.
I'm all for finding inspiration in the back catalogue of your heroes and heroines, the operative word being inspiration. But listening to Zeigeist's
'Tar Heart' is like eating a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. It might at first taste nice, but after a while you throw away the box and need water. Preferably some sparkling San Pellegrino listening to the new Rex The Dog SK-1 Remix of The Knife's 'Marble House'.

'Tar Heart' breakdown
Vocals: Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)
Beats: The Knife - Heartbeats
Additional drum machine

I LOVE »TAR HEART«.
Who cares about the straight references?!
This is gay, gay, gay.

Yeah Dexo, It's ok to be a cheap copy as long as you flaunt the fact that you're gay, that really makes sence. Tar Heart is a good song but I wouldn't expect it to be anything else given it's constituents are the sounds of the Knife and Kate Bush.

San Pellegrino, please.

is it just me or is "Cuffs" kind of a rip-off on Kelly Ouseborne's "One word"? Listen to the begining of both tracks.

I've been on vacation, so I didn't get the memo, but are we still supposed to be impressed by electro poohp slash preformance art, and that kind of stuff? I don't know. It smells kind of ... hmmm... what's the word....pretentious.

Both tracks are based on the classic 'Fade To Grey' by Visage. Check it out on iTunes asap.
