Straight Up - Paula Abdul is stoned on TV!

The eighties were good to short people.
Prince were cool and not considered a tranny with his stiletto heels, Kylie was a teenager and idol and shoulder pads were cool as fuck. The short but sweet Paula Abdul went from a cheerleader to pop phenomenon with hits like Straight Up and Forever Your Girl. I loved Straight Up!

NOW she is a judge on American Idol and this week she was drunk/stoned on national TV plugging the new season of the show.

For what it's worth, Paula's rep tells TMZ that it is "much ado about nothing." He says the station had "technical problems with the satellite and her sound was dropped not once but twice. Paula was in a small room by herself with only a cameraman. Paula was distracted and confused by the station dropping the sound. She did not know what was going on."

You know I believe her rep. Funny story is that the same thing happened to me when I was in Amsterdam: reality kept dropping my sound and I was REALLY confused. And kind of laid back and mellow. Just like Paula, only taller.
