Hackney

A friend of mine told me today that Hackney had been voted the worst place to live in the United Kingdom. Not so surprising since Hackney is filled with violence, drugs and general abuse. Not to mention the fact that Pete Doherty lives there.
I spend my days in Shoreditch and that's an area filled with trendy people, bars, nice restaurants and shops. One of my favourite bars is on Kingsland Road leading up to Hackney. If you go under the bridge a whole new world emerges. The people seem harder, the atmosphere not as friendly. Just from walking under a bridge.

Ey! I live in Hackney, and it's not as bad as people think. Sure we've got gang-violence, sure we've got junkies, and the occassional murder, but otherwise it's ok...
