It don't matter if you're black or white?

FairNLovely.jpg

Michael Jackson once sang: It don't matter if you're black or white.
And I guess he was right for himself. Girlfriend literally went from a hot sexy black dude to a shivering old white woman in front of our very eyes.
But we still loves him and his music. Well, at least the music.

Watching these commercials below made me a bit sick.
It made me sick watching conglomerates telling people that with lighter skin your are both happier and more successful than if you're not. It made me sick because it's true as well and that is not a very pleasant thought. And that usually does the trick and breaks my heart and makes me angry. And of course major companies exploit people's insecurities of perceiving themselves to be unloved, inadequate or worthless if they don't look a certain way. Not skinny enough, not white enough, not sexy enough, not young enough...The list goes on and on.

Please watch and comment.
Fair and lovely, my ass.

Earlier today when I was having coffee with a friend of mine we discussed this. How corporate powers are trying to make us feel bad about ourelves so they can provide a sollution. I've given it some thought and I too get angry and I feel so powerless cause there is no easy way to approach it. Change has to start from all directions to succeed. The logos are not only trying to make us feel inadequate in every aspect, they also promote and profit from gender roles that in themselves are allready preventing us from being all that we can be. And this is no longer about equality between men and women cause by selling coke trough lines like "How about great girlfriends with zero 'Do I look fat in this?" is demeaning to all of us. I could go on and on but I'm way too tired. Anyhow, the big corps have become these huge demons and I think that the people running them have become puppets in the hands of the demon. Thay are blinded by profit and though it has no real value they only seek to grow. They should all be on trial for crimes against humanity according to the universal declaration of human rights.
