Amy Winehouse - The Girl Done Good - A Sunday Doc

Ugh, tomorrow marks a year since the passing of Amy Winehouse. Time flies and it's still such a sad loss for us music lovers. In her short but incredible career Amy did things other merely can dream of. Her two studio albums are landmarks and we know already they are timeless pieces. Still it's heartbreaking that she gave us a soundtrack to live our lives to - but couldn't find that inner peace herself. We can only hope that where ever you are Amy now it's filled with more light and music for you! Amy Winehouse - Between The Cheats - Premiere!

It's hard to listen to these new releases of Amy Winehouse's previously unreleased material. Just from the first half of Between The Cheats it's clear just how talanted and unique she was. Recorded in 2008 intended for her follow up to Back To Black, Between The Cheats carries on the jukebox tradition with cleaver lyrics, amazing backing vocalists and Amy's mesmerizing voice. Oh Amy! We miss you so much and what are we gonna do without regular albums from you? Lioness: Hidden Treasures is out on Monday!

Amy Winehouse - Our Day Will Come - Premiere!

Fresh off the heels from Like Smoke, we're listening to Amy Winehouse next single, which premiered this morning on BBC Radio 1. Our Day Will Come is a cover of the 1963 Billboard #1 hit for Ruby and The Romantics. We think Amy does it more than justice, and it's just such a shame she couldn't stick around for more, and more original material. We love how light voice sounds. As it was originally recorded for her first album Frank, but never made the final cut, this should be around 2002, before the madness started.

Amy Winehouse Feat. Nas - Like Smoke - Premiere!

It's pretty bittersweet and oh so fitting for this to be the first track we hear from the posthumous Amy Winehouse release Lioness: Hidden Treasures next month. In Like Smoke Nas is wandering around Camden wondering what happened to his friend, and Amy sings she hangs around like smoke in the unbalance. Originally recorded in 2008 with Nas' rap verses added after her death, we get a time capsule and what might have been if she had hung around for a bit more. We really miss her! Thoughts?
