Premiere: Kylie Minogue - Dancing

Kylie Minogue is back with a bang with her brand new single Dancing! It's the first taster from her upcoming 14th (!) album, Golden. This lead single was co-written by KM herself along with acclaimed Amy Wadge and Sky Adams, with Adams producing also. Recorded in Nashville it also borrows a slight influence from country music in the verses. The chorus however is trademark Minogue with a big drum beat and something to sing along to, much like a chorus should be, haha. But you get the picture. New-ish for Kylie is a slight nod to the current Spotify Top 50 sound of chopped up vocals. MIND YOU; she did it already on her 1992 single What Kind of Fool (Heard All That Before), hehe. This new offering is sweet and we love the double meaning of "when I go out, I wanna go out dancing". Hopefully we all will go out doing something we love when it's time for the final curtain call. Two things though. The final mastering sounds a bit murky, like a demo? And for a KM lead it's pretty simple, remember the massive Can't Get You Out of My Head and super hyped Spinning Around respectively. It's fun but does not sound like a true KM classic. Thoughts? For a playlist it's perfect though!
